When I joined Kappa Phi Epsilon, the University of Florida's Christian fraternity, in 2019 I took on the responsibility of Graphic Design and Marketing Coordinator. Over my three years in Kappa Phi, I created numerous graphics including semesterly Rush identities, event graphics, merchandise, and assorted marketing materials for fraternity recruitment.
Watch the Throne was inspired by Kanye West and Jay-Z's collaborative album of the same name and Hebrews 12. The identity for this semester was centered around the image of a throne (for us to watch) with typography inspired by Kanye West's Pablo Tour.
Inspired by the Tim Tebow championship era of UF football, made for more emphasized the purpose of Kappa Phi.
After moving online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kappa Phi Epsilon titled Rush: Chosen: The Kingdom is Calling to encourage brothers and potential new members after being away from one another for so long. This theme reminded brothers that they are chosen and called to a greater purpose even in the pandemic.
As the 2019 turned into 2020 it only seemed logical to have a rush theme related in some way to 20/20 vision. The Vision equipped and inspired brothers to see and understand the goals and mission of Kappa Phi Epsilon.
Every year Kappa Phi hosts several events that need to be advertised to students and organizations. I created graphics for nearly every event held during my time as an active brother.
